I'm fairly new to this game so I was wondering if there's anything I can do to make it usable again. I want to sew it up but I don't know if it would hold up and how long but if there's any alternatives out there, I'm willing to try. I know eventually I'm going to have to buy a new one and I'm working on that.

I have a ringside bag made from "nevatear" or something like that... after 5 years it's completely wrapped in duct tape, that's probably your best bet.

Man that looks like a mortal wound. Real close to where the chain connects and a major weight support area. There will be a lot of stress on the top part of that rip as it is right under the chain.
Duct tape may or may not hold very long. You might consider a "bag cover" such as this neoprene gel sleeve (http://store.titleboxing.com/title-heavybag-gel-wrap.html), but I doubt it will help relieve the weight off the top rip.
Start saving for a new bag, like one of the HB bags (http://store.titleboxing.com/hbv.html) that Tim recommended.

Thanks for the advice guys, will try the duct tape, and will buy another one. The Title heavy bag looks great.
