Not much to say about this fight last night. Fight hype is what it is, but with comments like, "It's good to hear that Georges has a psychologist that he has to go to. A sports psychologist," ... "Does that help you out Georges? You got psychological problems or what" or,
Penn said on the first episode of UFC Primetime that he intended to "go to the death" against St. Pierre, adding, "serious, Georges, I'm going to go to the death. I'm going to try to kill you, and I'm not joking about this."
In the beginning, middle and end, total domination by GSP. Now the GSP-doubters are already looking to Thigao Alves as the one that St. Pierre will lose to.
Respect to BJ for taking the fight - he is no doubt a great fighter; but GSP is not the same fighter that he was, even in is last one or two fights. He keeps getting better. He deserves some respect; he has earned it in spades.
Can't sign off without giving props to Lyoto Machita. Played the Matador to a T. Uncanny reflexes and speed coupled with deceptive power. I know he is a 205'er but would he and Anderson Silva be something to see?
