I noticed that walmart has the size xs on their site and nothing that says "no longer in stock."

I just ordered 4 from e-bay today, most other stores tell me their on back order, couldn't pass up on the price either $25. a pop, and free shipping.

Did you guys order from This seller? (http://myworld.ebay.com/mmaonestopshop/) I ordered mine from them. They've been auctioning Everlast Everhide 6x9s starting at $12.99. They have a great feedback rating. The free shipping don't hurt either!

Hey Metaldad, I ordered one from that seller, got it within 4 or 5 business days after I used paypal. There was a panel on mine with a couple of cracks/tears in the leather. He said that was normal on this bag. I'm not sure about that, but after one workout on it, I noticed a lot more cracks and the original cracks/tears grew!:( The seller said I could exchange it though, I haven't decided.

Hopefully, yours is good to go. Good luck!!

That seller gets a 100% rating so your new bag should be fine I hope gvee. I hope mine is ok when I get it. Which one did you order?

Hey Sparrky, I ordered my platform from walmart and it took forever to come in, 3 weeks (or more). Of course this might not have been the norm. The ebay stuff I order usually gets to me within a week or so. Good luck homeboy!

I got the Everlast 6 x 4. It's a great looking bag though, I love the black and yellow.

Here's a pic of one of the tears. It was about a .5" long right out of the package, but after about 15 mins on the swivel, it became approx 2" long in addition to other cracks/tears! Is this normal for a new bag or not a big deal? Thanks for any feedback.

As far as I know, that is definitely NOT normal for a new speed bag. Could be a factory defect. As I mentioned before, the seller gets a 100% customer satisfaction rating so I'm hoping they get you a better bag pronto. Keep us posted of the progress. That's the same bag I just ordered. Hope no defects on mine.

Anyone who owns lots of speedbags will tell you that cracks in the leather will happen sooner or later and in different degrees. Some bags have insignificant cracking and some develop cracking all over. My black/yellow everlast 6x4 from walmart was fine right out of the box. However, after pumping it up and several days later the leather began cracking on a few of the panels near the bottom. There has been no new cracking - it was like all the cracking happened over the course of a few hours and that was it. Months later no new cracking that I can identify.

Then there is my ringside premier bag size 9x6 that has very significant cracking all over - half the bag is the underlying brown material. This bag performs well and I would not trade it for a new one because of the great rebounds of this very cracked bag.

Cracked bags can be top notch in terms of performance - and that in my opinion is the most important attribute. Overlook the cracking if it does not develop much further. It is not easy to get the perfect looking bag with the best performance. If you send this one back, you could get a replacement that is even worse. All bags will eventually look like crap, but some continue to perform well in spite of the way they look.

Using leather treatment products about once a week or as needed can help keep the leather a bit more pliable also to extend the life of the cracked or crinkled leather. I find that Bags will crack a lot worse if they are dried out.

Hey Alan, I've got a everlast "elite" 8x6 (black with yellow laces and what looks like a couple of rivets). It's a great bag, it's advertised as a "leather bag" but it's really a synthetic leather. Not sure whats it made of. It's got some really fine looking (what look like) stress cracks (marks) on one side. I've used leather conditioner on some of my other leather bags, like you mentioned, and it works great. Wonder what might work on this "elite" bag. Any suggestions. Thanks Alan.

Most bags I own have started cracking after years of abuse but have never torn, but the everlast 4x6 bags seem to crack within days of being used, 2 of which split open like bananas, I was told that some of the bags were made from a higher quality leather then others, not really sure if thats true or not, but I do know the speed bags and speed bags gloves made now in no way compare to the ones my father passed on to me from when he was my age... as quoted " They don't make 'um like they used to "

I have a few elite bags myself, the large 7x10 and the medium 6x8 I think, the medium has a strange shape to it, and I was not to crazy about the action on the bag, but the large bag is great, got it on sale at a S.A. for like $18.00 the material is pretty soft and almost needs no breaking in period, I too noticed a few small cracks but nothing critical
