Once you have downloaded the timer page and all the associated files, it is not necessary to have an Internet connection.

To run the timer page disconnected with NO internet connection:
Download this file: http://www.speedbagforum.com/timer.zip
Unzip to any location on your local hard drive
Open the timer.html file with Internet Explorer or Firefox
IE 6.0 and IE 7.0 may warn you about blocking script access or ActiveX controls. Just click on the prompt and allow it to run.In the future, you will simply re-open the timer.html file on your local hard drive, instead of opening it up from http://www.speedbagforum.com/timer.html

You may want to check back periodically and download a new version, as I post bug fixes and new features somewhat frequently.

For those without computer access where they workout, you can find MP3 sound files here that you can play directly on an MP3 player, or burn to an audio CD (http://www.speedbagforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=774)

Detailed download instructions for Windows XP

1. Click this link http://www.speedbagforum.com/timer.zip
2. Save the file to your desktop
3. Right click the icon and select "Extract All"
4. Open the timer.html file
5. You may be prompted about allowing ActiveX controls to run, click on the warning and allow this (This is required for sounds to play)
6. Done!

NOTE: If you are looking for the version that calls out punch combinations, download the files from http://virtualpunchmitts.com/timer.zip instead, the other steps are the same.

I downloaded the timer file, however, I was unable to find the timer.html. I don't know if it matters or not, but I'm running Vista and Firefox.

Please help! Thanks!

Did you UNZIP it? http://www.speedbagforum.com/timer.zip is a ZIPped file, it's a single archive of multiple files. You will need to unzip it first, and then it should have all the files you need within.

I did unzip the file, however, the only files that show are:

MACOSX
Fight Complete
Round 1-12
timer
timerrl3
timerv3
bell1
boxingbellmultiple
buzzer3x
buzzerx
clickx
embed2-6
short1-2
start

Those are all the files listed...no "timer.html"

Thank you for the quick response!

You must have file extensions hidden.

The file named "Timer" is the one you want. The .html extension is hidden or otherwise not showing.
