Hey, buddy, you've got to stay with it longer than that!

Hmm... That reminds me of a phrase
A Rose by any other name...
:o
Have to admit, I lived during the "Charles Atlas fitness program" (http://www.smithsonianmag.com/history-archaeology/Muscle-Man.html) days and I never saw that.

Googling around I find nothing about it. An odd duck. A Charles Atlas speed bag, who'd a thunk it?

Hmm, the seller might be referring to the either the whole setup , or just the platform as the "Bully Beater" It's hard to tell from the pic but the bag appears that it might be an Everlast 4208. I've never heard of any equipment of this kind being marketed by Charles Atlas. It might be the work of a local shop, (this is the kind of rig that Permabuilt made), or even home made.

I think you're right about it being the work of a local shop. I also think that is an Everlast 4208 bag and never saw any Charles Atlas promo's with a speed bag. Saw lots of "sand in the face" adds but never a one about "bully beater" bag setups.

In my haste to bring this "rare" item to the forum, I neglected to do research. The seller just wrote to say it is his name for it, it is not a Charles Atlas product. Guess you can rightfully kick sand in my face...

Not on THIS forum. Honest mistakes happen. In our zeal to post interesting stuff for members we often don't get "the rest of the story" the first time.

It's not you, but the seller. Lot's of people are going to look at the description and think that they are getting something that it isn't. :(

Geez, how many of us bought metal ballhook swivels years ago only to get plastic ones.
