I just had to say that was a funny comment. Yeah to be able to find that at a rummage sale or a estate sale or even on craigslist would be INSANE!:eek:

A guy in a cage with "8 balls", from Brooklyn? Sorry Spin, This is the first I've seen him - but I think I like him!

Wow, good find. That's gotta be him. What a life! Sorry to hear of his recent passing, he could have been a guest of honor at SPEED B.A.G. 2010 :(

I'm not too sure these are about him, only because there is no mention of his "world champion" bag punching skills or shows in these articles. Sure, there is a lot about boxing, weight lifting and military service but I would think his extreme bagging skills or demo's would be at least mentioned in the articles.
Could be, but I'd like a little more proof before I say that this IS him.

Amazing Inspirational story. Sad about his passing. Sounds like he was full of life. Can someone find out if this is him and maybe you guys could give a type of honor at SB 2010?

Joe Rollino was exceptional,a truley amazing story and to be hit by a car while
walking at 104 is tragic, who knows to what age he would have live to.But as far as this picture being Rollino, I have doubts. If Joe Rollino had boxed as Rollino
and was the strongman as Rollino, then you would expect the picture to titled
Rollino. There are possibilities that his nik name was Brooklyn, but I think as Alan
said there would have been more mention of his speedball skills at his passing.

Hey Tim, maybe at Speed BAG II, we could build a setup like his. :D
What a challenge to work 8 bags at once!
As to Joe Rollino - what a guy! Not too many people with a life's resume like his.
According to one of the articles he was 5'4" with a 20 "inch neck.

Yeah I wasnt 100% sure on if it was an perfect match, but as the rest of you I was rather interested into finding out more about the 8 bag striking set up n and his skill with it. As for the finding the info on him, it just seemed that if there was 2 Joe Brooklyn's at the SAME time frame with similar or overlapping skill sets and abilities.... I just figured...... it was the same guy! :D:D:D

Brooklyn seems to have been a breeding ground for people with bagging skills. I've got a breif news clipping and photo on a husband and wife team that used to give demos back in the 1940's.
