apartment platform???

Does this do what I think it does? Does it wedge itself between the floor and ceiling as a way to mount the platform without drilling any holes?

Drum vibration might be a problem, but maybe this is another idea for apartment dwellers that really cannot drill. Is this a common platform/mount?????

Hmm, I'd think that the upstairs tenant would not be too thrilled with you with this setup. I can see it transmiting every hit the bag makes to the ceiling i.e. the floor above.

I have to agree with Dutchman. Without some kind of dampening mechanism all the vibration would shoot upstairs and down. Great idea though. Off to the drawing board....


EDIT: the Jim Bradley site has a unit that looks almost identical
