Hi - has anyone tried the Everlast Professional... the ones that you can choose the color ?

I can hit my Everlast 4214 10x7 bag pretty well now - but the skin seems tough - like a football or basketball - I saw one of these in the store and it seemed softer and lighter.... The 10x7 I saw in the store seemed tiny as well !!

Anyone have any thoughts on this bag ? I am a beginner and working on my control ... as well as speed.... but it seems hitting the heavier 4214 I am hitting hard and losing the control... kind of hard to explain...but a softer lighter bag would let me concentrate on my control....

I am considering returning mine, the 4214 (only a couple of weeks old) and getting the Everlast Professional - Large 10x7 the Med is 6x9 and is really really small when I look at it... although I have only seen these bags uninflated.

i think that these bags will do everything you want them to do. they are great in quality and softer than what you have.

I prefer these bags over any others for a variety of reasons, but mostly because I like the loop on them better than Title bags. I have two Title bags and while the quality is good on them, I just prefer the Everlast Professional bags.

They are definitely softer than the 4214, that's for sure.

I'd recommend going no smaller than the 10x7, and maybe you should even consider the 11x8 to get a slower bag. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I actually have a 10x12 Title bag that I love to use from time to time also. It gives me more of an aerobic workout and it's very satisfying to really punch hard on the bigger, heavier bag sometimes. When I want speed, I hook up my trusty 6x9. It all depends on what kind of workout I'm in the mood for. When I want to do some interval training with the double end bag and the heavy bag, I put up the small bag. When I just want to put on my headphones and wail away for a while and do nothing else, I put up the larger bag.

No time spent under a speed bag drum is wasted.

great - thanks for that info - I will go and exchange my 4214 for the Everlast Professional.... the size they have is the 10x7 - which seems much smaller - they also have the 9x6 or 6x9 - but I can hold off on that....

I wish I could keep the 4214 to build a collection :) but I have a feeling I will be getting several bags this year anyway....

I still have the vinyl bag my board came with to hit slower and work on routines...
