Wow, so you've actually been in battle and know what it's like? That's cool.

You should help this guy out:

He wants some advice on mounting a speedbag to the wall...

yeah ummmmm i dont think you get it.... Let me break it down for ya. If you have ever seen a battle or war movie they always have music like this playin in the backround makes them look alot more dramatic so me using the same songs to hit the bag makes me feel as if the CAMERA is rolling and people are watching.... Oh yeah Cause they are!

Hey skunk, Your first link is interesting. I never thought about hitting to The Ride of the Valkyries (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ride_of_the_Valkyries) by Wagner before. It's kinda slow and in 3/4 Time, which makes it a bit more difficult to manipulate the bag rhythm. I might put it into my digital mixer and speed it up about 10-20% and see what it sounds like.

That second link, Carmina Burana (http://www.classical.net/music/comp.lst/works/orff-cb/carmina.html) by Carl Orff is a little easier since it's in more standard 4/4 time.

hitting to them in my head, (yeah, I can do that..) this second one (carmina Burana audio file) (http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/clickit/search?r_aid=85F985ADD61246F891965323098B18A0&r_eop=8&r_sacop=8&r_spf=0&r_cop=main-title&r_snpp=8&r_spp=0&qqn=3M-zigDD&r_coid=372372&rawto=http://parter.ru/content/all_other_files/30/CarminaBurana_O_Fortuna.wma) seems a bit easier to punch to then
the Ride of the Valkyries (audio file) (http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/clickit/search?r_aid=F6E13EE42FA44CE0B04E53242B50EB80&r_eop=3&r_sacop=7&r_spf=0&r_cop=main-title&r_snpp=7&r_spp=0&qqn=9DYuM%3A%26l&r_coid=372372&rawto=http://theginnfamily.net/wagner/excerpts/ride_of_the_valkyries.wma).

Not sure why your audio on the links is slightly off to the video. I notice a lot of vids on Youtube.com have mismatched video to audio. Probably has to do with the type of video file uploaded.

Anyway, props to you for trying to push your skills into the music venue. Pretty hard choices on these musical pieces, but I gotta admire the attempts.

good stuff skunk.

What size bag are you using? It looks like your platform is also small- I'll have to keep that in mind when I move to smaller bags.

itas a extra small title bag with a everlast set up but i removed the platform and cut a desk in half and used the thick desk wood as the platform. Ended up being too small for other bags but the small bag works great on it!

your platform (desk) is probably made out of mdf.

Awesome work on the bag ... but that song always makes me think of Robert Duvall character in Apocolypse Now ... crazy movie and crazy character ...
