The trailer for the new Rocky movie has some speedbag action so I imagine the full length movie will have some as well.

It's funny, when I got my bag I started going through my fight movies looking for anyone useing the speedbag. Actually learn one or two things from it too. You already mentioned Cinderella Man. Also there's Rocky and Rocky Three, probably all the Rocky movies do. Annapolis is a good movie and it show one in there getting worked. Million Dollar Baby has a lot of speedbag scenes in it as well.

hey was just watching the movie Undisputed and 52:10 mins in. Ving Rhames character George 'Iceman' Chambers is hitting the speed bag training for his fight against Wesley Snipes character Monroe Hutchen....there will probably be more coming just borrowed a bunch of boxing movies from a buddy of mine today

"The Dead Pool" with Clint Eastwood. For some early stuff catch "Pittsburgh" with John Wayne and Randolph Scott. Early on in that film there is a scene were they attend a exhibition bout and an old school striking bag with a vaudeville style free standing platform is demonstated.

I often take a ***** bag and cut it up and re-stitch it. I make it the shape of a pear. Then i put some laces at the top side and leave an opening. I then put a balloon inside and blow it up.
Then, and then only, do I call it a true ***** Bag!

Anyone remember a movie from '92 with Cuba Gooding Jr, Robert Loggia, Brian Dennehy, and Ossie Davis called "Gladiator"? A couple of speed bag scenes there. Brian Dennehy at his best, when he's sinister and conniving.

Just watched tonights episode of "Boardwalk Empire" There was a scene in a gym where one of the charecters was getting a rubdown, and prodomenently in the background was a large gold colored striking bag. Couldn't see any markings but definitely old school.
