I just bought the middle-weight platform from Ringside and the swivel has three small holes and small approximately 1 inch long screws to attach the swivel to the platform. Is this substantial enough to withstand the vibration? The swivel is the metal type with removable pin holding the bag on. I believe it is the 1st type in the swivel review posted earlier on the site.

Thanks for any suggestions on how to make the attachment more secure.

Personally, I like to drill the holes all the way through and bolt the swivel (http://www.speedbagcentral.com/ssp/speed_bag_parts#B) on. Not every board will allow for that, and it depending on how the board is attached to the wall frame. If there is steel or tubing on top in the center of the wood, it makes it difficult. The screw size is limited by the size of the swivel hole. Hopefully, if it's a hardwood board the small screws will hold up for a while if you don't use a large bag and pound the stuffing out of it. But softer, presswood boards don't seem to hold the screws as well.

That's why I prefer a wall unit setup with an open area on the top center of the board.
