Wow, amazing information. Nice to see that people long ago were taking this so seriously!

Alot of work in those setups. The industrial age is awsome! There are so many large warehouse/manufacturing buildings in cincinnati that are empty. But everytime i see them i wondered what was manufactured there. I wish i lived in the day where manufacturing was at its peak and a man could support a whole family with one income. Where politics and BS was not in the workplace. Now everything is "safety, safety, safety" and BS. LOL....Dont get me started!

Perhaps one of those abandoned buildings was once the home of Hutchinson Leather, AKA Hutchison Sporting Goods Co. or just plain "Hutch". The were one of the major players in boxing equipment at one time. Hutch striking bags show up on eBay all the time.

Jim, you remind me of my brother. Once he gets into something, he researches all facets of it. He created a website documenting my father's WWII service (http://gateway.ca.k12.pa.us/memorial/) and he spent several years in researching it.

He has since created and maintains a vast family genealogy on Ancestry.com.

Great job to you in uncovering these finds (and to Dutchman for his immense knowledge of speedbagging history). http://www.c3vr.com/member_uploads/1_100/16/cheers.gif

Wow, those patents are interesting, the drawings and grammar they use. I wonder how the patent for the Powermill would read. "The thing just works, now give me a damed patent before I punch you." LOL
