This song played at SpeedB.A.G. II in Keyport this year, and Skunk and Nova had me mesmerized by their speed and skills.

Here is the clip (again) of Skunk and Nova, followed up with my attempt to keep up with the tempo.

I'm hitting on a small Fighting Sports bag. I think it's the same size bag that Skunk used at SB II. He knocks it around like it's a feather!

I find that mine has poor rebounding qualities and I really have to hit it hard to make it work for me. I fall behind the beat a few times, too... But, I really like the workout I get.

I had a "captured" audience watching me yesterday – literally... that's Ricky, my 6-year-old Orange-tip Amazon parrot in the background.

NOTE: I'm confused...
Alan and Zaza say they can't view this video. And yet, it shows up and plays in my web browser... (I'm a Mac and I'm using Google's Chrome browser. ) Has anyone been able to view this video here on the forum or on YouTube?

I'm not sure what's going on with this video. It seems to be working again. I'm not sure if it's something I did when uploading, or if there's just a glitch in the You Tube site...

Here's the You Tube link, in case it can't be viewed here:

Calling Ms Dee. Ms Dee please come to the service desk. :-)

I just don't get it.

Yesterday, on my computer at work, I tried to view this video and YouTube said it couldn't be played because of copyright issues.

Today, on my home computer, I CAN view it...both here, and at the YouTube site... Is it ME, or is YT jerking me around? :(

I'm trying to get used to this white Fighting Sports bag. It's light, so it moves faster. (And, it's a pretty bag :p ) But, it seems like it has poor rebounding qualities. I really have to hit it hard to make it come back to me... Again, is it just ME, or is this the case with a light-weight bag?

...no it's not you. i have the 6x9 bag and it also has a slow rebound thats why i'm giving it away. my other two 6x9 bags rebound way faster and one of them is the NOS ringside from RP65 it just blows away the fighting sports bag, I love it...ralph

It has alot to do with the air pressure with most bags i've used. The tinyest bit too much air, or or a tiny bit less makes a HUGE difference. Also with these Title Pros, and Fighting Sports you do Sacrifice a little speed, but the bag makes up for it in accuracy, and forgivingness, these bags have Gigantic sweet spots, and if you want to do tricky, fancy moves, that is pretty important.

On the other hand if you want total speed, and don't mind giving up a little accuracy, reyes, ringside, are obviously faster than Title, and FS. I have ringside and reyes. both are nice looking, and fast. and great for speed, fantastic for boxing style, and pretty good all around, but if you're gonna use ringside, and, or reyes for trick baggin' you better have your Sh%t together, because they do require more control, if you throw alot of side punches, elbows from all angles, phantom punches, over, and under the elbow, elbow rotations, spins, traps. bumps.. ect you could run into a bit of trouble.

It's a little like comparing a top fuel dragster, and an f1 ferrari. they both work great for different things, one goes a quite a bit faster, while the other corners alot better. both awesome cars. they just have different uses.

Hmmm? That is interesting. It would appear that you do know what you're talking about when it comes to speed bags, and speed bagging. Having ...typed that, I look forward to seeing a current video of you speed bagging, soon. I hope there isn't anything that keeps you from doing so "ralph" ;)

The tar and feathers is for them, not us.

When providers want caps on bandwidth so as to charge more money, remember this:

"Wireline bandwidth is an almost unlimited resource due to advances in Internet architecture," he wrote. "Adding more capacity is easy. The marginal cost of providing an extra gigabyte of data--enough to deliver one episode of ‘30 Rock' from Netflix--is less than one cent, and falling."

--Netflix's General Counsel David Hyman

So THAT'S why Netflix is increasing their prices..... in reaction to the falling costs of service delivery and bandwidth.

We just cancelled Netfux oops I meant flix... The bastards pulled that rate raise crap and for what? It's not like the streaming video was outstanding. Half the movies you wanted to stream were unavailable. Unless you were into anime or martial arts films streaming was, limited. DVD's were lacking as well. It's an ok service but ain't worth the rate increase

I'm not ready to cancel Netflix yet. I like the fact that I can watch "30 Rock" any time I want from my iPhone... or laptop. :)

Comparing bags is probably something that is necessary in terms of fitting a bag to one's skill level or style preference at any given bagging session. Baggers on the other hand, are a bit more complex and obvious in there level of performance and capabilities.

What I've learned from watching the likes of Skunk, Juxt, TommyT, and Alan, is that, these are baggers that have an extreme capacity to power through slower rebounding bags as if they didn't notice that they are slow rebounders. When I tried to keep that same pace with similar bags, I quickly realized how much more power they packed without sacrificing in the accuracy department. SpeedbagAtaraxis is another bagger who may be in their class in the near future. Also, Tim may be a very powerful bagger but he is so smooth in his punching techniques and combos that it is hard for me to tell if he packs a lot of power:cool: He makes it look effortless.

As I said above, highly skilled and powerfully accurate baggers have a way of making this statement sound true. However, after being on site with these bagging Phenom's mentioned earlier, it becomes quite obvious that a quicker rebounding bag makes it easier for me to keep a quicker pace (it's a way for me to cheat a bit due to my lack of power).

Very true Nova, however. I would add, that to have the entire spectrum, a bagger should not only have the power that keeps the bag rebounding, but also a delicate touch when needed, I know that alot of the stuff that i TRY to do on the bag requires a light touch , and used with the harder hits, (the power) It is this dynamic that enables the bagger to pull off most anything on the bag. I feel it's mostly about DYNAMICS, and CONTROL. and in a way, i guess, they are one in the same. <)Y<)<)BL

Exactly! It is not all about "speed" and going fast. Actually, "speed and going fast" have little to do with the ability to "Punchdrum" to a song. You can punch to any song "fast or slow" if you have bag control and the rhythmic sense (and control), of your bag beat.

I might add the Bag you use makes little difference in the end. Yes, every bag is a bit different in feel and action, but any bag will only do what you tell it. After a few punches the bagger should adapt to any bag (and swivel) and be able to make it work. If it doesn't work to your satisfaction then you may want to change bags or swivel to one more of your choosing, but any bag can be used to punch with any song. It's just up to the bagger to make it work, if he/she can. Skunk can shred any bag on any swivel, and I pity the bag that messes with TommyT.
