Yes there is. Unfortunately you missed that during this gathering, due to your filming. Next year, if you get to spend more time under the board than behind the camera I bet "the beast" will appear.

But thanks for being behind the camera THIS year. Perhaps in one of your shots the speed bag beast will appear. But you have to look quick, and if you're lucky you'll see him sitting on the shoulder of TommyT, or Skunk, or Ataraxis, or G-Town. Then again, if you take on "the Demon" counter, you may find him on your shoulder, too.

I got my Speed Demon today. been hitting all day.I am becoming an addict..:D My goal is to hit level 14 by this Weekend .I reached Level 13 twice. I cant go past that yet :rolleyes:

I put up my Speed Demon and tried it out last night. I was able to make it to Level 10 – the same level that I reached at SB III.

I started missing at Level 10 because I was swinging at mosquitoes at the same time! :D (Note to self: Spray bug repellant on myself for summer evening bagging.)

BTW, I think TommyT made it to Level 13 at SB III. He probably would have done much better if I hadn't been goading him the whole time. :o Sorry Tommy. I didn't realize you were on the Speed Demon at the time. I have (nearly) the whole session on video. I'm not positive, but I think Tommy made it to Level 13 in about 10 minutes. Somebody correct me if I am in error.

In any case, I think this is a great gadget. It compelled me to "keep going" and I could start to feel the burn. That's what I want, right? I'm assuming that pushing myself does all this: Burns those calories, burns the fat, tears new muscle...

Level 13 in 7 minutes? Man that is FAST and Accurate. You can't miss much and get 1300 punches done in that amount of time.

Yeah can't stop hitting mine either. I did make it to 13.5 but I'm at 15 nowww! Yeah this is the best for pushing the workout. On the counter I do 1000 punches in like 5 min 10 sec. I just keep punching and punching. I really enjoy the Demon. Thanks John. I'll post vid when I get to 16.

Well Tommy, there is an obvious reason for your rapid advancement.

You no doubt practiced using that crazy Bulldog bag you have (what does that sucker weigh - 10 pounds??) and then switched to a normal bag, which would be like hitting air compared to the Bulldog.

Seriously, I want to know how much that thing weighs! It was like hitting a bag of bricks...

John... Got the Speed Demon (thank you!) mounted today, great instructions and it couldn't be easier took like 5 minutes total & I was up and running.

That said...WTF, are you trying to kill me! :eek: :)

This thing is a blast! I could only get to 13.5 before I started flubbing...or that little bastard started counting back on me. I was hitting a 9x6...I have to try the Atomic small next time, but i don't know if I can hit any faster then that...ever.

I love the count mode because you really have no clue how many times you're actually hitting the bag during a workout. I only wish it counted side hits too (version 2.0).

Speed mode is cool too...although, again, I don't hit very fast....but there's always tomorrow! ;)

This is a great tool to add to the workout...THANKS!

All I can say is this Tommy, you've set the bar very high for us. :eek:

I've had a dozen distractions since getting back from
SB III. I haven't posted much lately, and I have had limited opportunities to do much punching. :(

But, I finally attached the Speed Demon to my drum. I tried it out yesterday. I'm going to try to get close to my score at SB III before I post anything. I got pretty far at SB III, but it's mostly because I had a lot of support to cheer me on. Thanks, guys. :)

Well, I know I'll never reach the level you did, Tommy. But, it will certainly inspire me to at least try! ;)
