old chain link swivel

    old chain link swivel

    This looks like a chain link, but that chain looks like it is leaning in a direction chain links don't go. Could it be a hybrid ball & chain swivel? Or just a lot of slop in the swivel? That's Vince Martinez at the helm.

    Yep, a chain link "leaning in a direction it doesn't want to go" will probably alter the rebound angle just smidge to go more in the direction it does want to go in, there by sending the bag where the swivel wants, not necessarily where the puncher intended.

      i can actually do that on any swivel w/any bag in a totally consistent manner--dd

          Below is another picture of this type swivel. Dutchman, can you tell us what it is? It looks to me like a ball & socket action combined with a chain link. An odd duck.
