    vintage swivel, Spain

No telling where this was made, but that's an odd way of attaching a speed bag. At 180 Euros, I think I'll pass...

I've seen some bags and at least one swivel that is set up similar to this. There was a hole punched into the top of the loop. The swivel was similar to a standard ball hook except the end link didn't have a hook. It was straight and threaded. There was a nut then a washer, then you inserted the threaded stud through the hole on the top of the loop. Then you secured it with another washer and nut. Perhaps this was supposed to discourage the theft of the bag in a gym situation, or to prevent it from flying off the hook.
