Super: As far as weights I do shoulder shrugs and side shoulder raises, all the while hitting the bags in between. Then I swim a mile, which just continues to burn up the shoulders. Then I always make a smoothie (soy milk, whey protein, berries). I never meant to get my shoulders this big, it's just happened.

Alan and Tim: My heart goes out to the both of ya. At least Alan pulled off a smile but Tim in that pic you look absolutely horrid. The look on your face and complete absence of color in your skin will haunt. Can I use that pic as my "before" picture? j/k, man...hope you both take it easy and get healed....

jaguiler: yup, Polar HRM, keeps me in the zone...I have it beep when I'm out of my target rate so if I hear it go off it means I need to keep pushing....excellent tool...

Check out the orange Betadine under his arm and on his chest. This pic was probably taken just a few hours after surgery, just when he got home. Not the best time for your closeup. If you think he looks bad on the outside, just wait till you see it from the inside....

I'm not sure where my bone spur came from... just something that happens I guess.

The torn labrum was a weight lifting injury in the 1999/2000 timeframe. It was getting worse over time.

All my stuff is torn down at the moment. I prefer to workout in a gym because a) they've got AC, which my garage doesn't and b) they have a better selection of equipment than I could ever hope to match.
