I think most people are way too politically correct nowadays. I am of German heritage and with a dash of Polish thrown in. Don't a ton of jokes come to mind? I didn't think you were out of line at all.

Couldn't agree more with you there. My father was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam so patriotism runs deep in my family as well but I read your joke and I clearly can see it was actually an off-color remark about fat, lazy people NOT any ethnic group. So rest assured those who understood your joke know it wasn't racist at all.
