I do my workout to Southern Rock I like hitting the bag to Lynard Skynard
Old school rap 84-94 or thereabouts, some newer stuff too - anything KRS One, Beastie Boys, Insane Clown Posse.
Other than that, I love System of a down.
I like more of a hard rock feel to my workouts such as: Alexisonfire, deftones, disturbed, finger 11, korn, and some of the harder foo fighters stuff. System of a down is good too.

I had an eight track in my first car... It was a 74 montecarlo... It was beast... I miss that sized car! Its bigger than my Dakota I think!
I was working out at the rink with a buddy using the Muay thai pads and the focus mitts anyway doesn't the guy working the sound system hit us with the rocky theme... Anyway the kicks were a little harder and the punches a little crisper. Corny but effective...
Blvd of broken dreams by greenday is the best song I got to get the blood pumping!

The only time I listen to music while training is lifting weights and running. My ipod is filled with anything and everything by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and other classick rock.

Are you a big Stevie Ray vaughan (http://www.modernguitars.com/archives/002283.html) fan? If so, I got a hot tip for you.

Personally I can't really list any favorites, 'cause I train to lots of different kinds of music, from Classical to Rock, disco, dance, new age, movie themes, world, bluegrass and a ton of others. then again, sometimes I train to silence. I have music for every mood and emotion. the list would be too long.

Well, it might interest you to know that SRV photographer, W.A. Williams (http://www.modernguitars.com/archives/002269.html) is also a huge speed bag fan. We've been communicating for a while.
He still owns the rights to many photographs of SRV and you could get Prints of RSV (http://www.wawilliams.com/contact.html) signed by the photographer.
He's been in and around the greatest musicians of our time for quite a while. Here is his Myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/thereverendbillyroseandthelegendarysoulshakers), and if you're a member, check out some his of photo's.
I'm hoping he'll join our forum when he gets time.

That is cool, thanks Alan! I have a way to go to improve my chops, but SRV is what I aspire to play. I even got a nice American Strat last month in preparation.

Yeah I think one of the coolest songs was his brothers tribute. 6 strings down. It was wasn't a sappy good-bye. It was cool way to say I miss you broe.
