Hi this is my second thread I was wandering if anbody could help me on getting a good headgear. I have seen the everlast piece at Big5 for $40 and on the internet for 30$ Is this a good headgear. comfortability, size, impact absorbtion. And are there any better pieces around the same price range. I dont need a realy expensive good one. Just one of the better cheaper ones. :)

Are you looking for sparring headgear or compatition headgear?
I would go with Title Boxing for headgear you can find them here
http://store.titleboxing.com/title-boxing-headgear.html
they have a no frills training version for $39.99 all leather

Thanks a lot toolboxdriver those look really good:). Is there any big difference between competition heagear and sparring headgear. I am looking for my own sparring gear but I might fight in march in a smoker if my trainer can find somebody to fight me. Again thanks a lot.

sparring headgear has more padding and offers more protection, compatition headgear is mainly to keep you from getting cut the padding is much thinner. which ever headgear you choose to buy make sure it is leather the cheapper ones that are vinyl are not worth the money the crack and rip and are not worth the money. Hope this helps

It looks to me like the Competition Headgear (http://store.titleboxing.com/head-gear-without-cheeks.html) offers a wider range of vision also.
Gotta see those hooks incoming.
