Speed Bag Lace Play at Rush Hour

Everything was pretty funny to me today - even this. So before it's not (usually in the AM), I'm going to share my videoed minute or two of pure fun this afternoon.
And yes, there's nothing like a quad of locomotives roaring by at midnight to enhance whatever it is your doing. Really! If I keep the music loud enough, they think it's me. lol

Seriously: Alan - you gave me that smile (well, most of it anyway today. :D). I've wanted to enjoy the Speed Bag like that for most of my life - and I'm having a lot of fun and continue to be challenged. Thank you!

My Custom Built Speed Bag Platform

Hey everyone this is one of my first posts here on the speed bag forum. I have been to the site before but never posted anything. I'm an avid speed bagger and just recently made my first speed bag platform in my garage. Check out my latest post on my blog http://thatshouldhold.com/build-a-speed-bag-platform/ .

It gives step by step instructions on how to build this type of platform. I am going to upload the plans also on my blog that are all dimensioned out.

Let me know what you guys think. I am very pleased with the performance of the platform. The only thing that I would have done differently was implement some type of height adjuster. One of my buddies came over and he was well over 6'-0" tall and hit his head on it. Bummer.

Best bag to have autographed?

I am looking to mail a speed bag to a pro fighter to have it autographed. Factoring in things like best material to write on, a good quality/good name brand that will yield the best value if I one day decide to sell the signed bag, cool looks, good color to have signed, etc...what speed bag would ya'll recommend?

I was looking at this one, but I am unsure that the material would be conducive to being written on.

I am not American so pardon me if there are some typos or bad grammar

I am very tired of these bags that gets ruined after 1 punch-1 month use:mad::(:mad::(, what is the best speed bag? Wich one is the most durable? What bag do you use and why?

The best swivel? Most durable swivel? Deville nr 13 vs evil powermill? which swivel do you use and why?

Replies are very apricciated, ive spent WAY too much money on bad platforms, swivels and bags:mad:. I cant belive that they sell such terrible equiptment :(:mad:

Please let the opinions flow :)

It seemed like a good idea at the time. My buddies took off around 1:00 AM and with about 6 - 7 pints in me I decided to try hitting the bag.

It didn't work out very well. I punched my own face more than the bag. You would THINK after hitting my own nose that I would stop, but during one especially pathetic attempt at a front fist roll, I actually hit myself three straight times before my brain told my hands to stop.

On the reverse fist roll (if you could call it that) I just missed the bag completely.

This is either a bad Idea or I just need more practice at it. I can't be the only one to ponder this question......Anyone else?

I can't thank Alan enough, that swivel just belongs on my vintage platform (and it loves it's new home)!

Friday night I was continuing my practice on the 4 way IO elbow with a single rebound and I couldn't miss. I put up my 8x5 Lazer and nailed it, tried my 8x5 Leone, again nailed it. I tried every bag from XXs to large, fast bags slow bags, light bags, heavy bags and I was getting it 9 times out of 10 on every bag I had. I'm thinking that I finally got this down. Yesterday I went out and I had trouble hitting it 1 time out of 10. Today I'm 50/50, better than yesterday but still not like friday. I'm curious if others here go through the same thing. This technique is super frustrating for me to get consistently.
