It's been a while since I dropped you a line. We missed you at Speed Bag II in June... It was a great time. I enjoyed meeting fellow punch-drummer novaspeedbagger (Kerry). And SpeedbagAtaraxis (Matthew) is simply phenomenal and has such a way with the speed bag. Tim, Skunk, Alan, Donnie, Lewis, TommyT, Greg... all were there. Oh, and Lisa (Speedbag4life) was there as well!!! Another female attendee! We hit it off, and have kept in touch since the event. She lives in the San Francisco area, so I hope to meet up with her on the west coast some time.
I hope work isn't keeping you so busy that you can't make it out to the woodshed to knock around the ole speed ball...
I hope all is well with you and your family, Deano. And please give my regards to your dad.
Take care, mate,
Hey Deano - looks like I missed your birthday here on the forum. Thanks for my BD wishes. Hope all is well with you and your family. And tell your Dad that 2013 can't get here soon enough. Stay in touch, mate.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Deano! I want you to know that a package is on its way to Wooroo Street... Of course, I'm too disorganized to get it in the mail in time for Christmas.
I mailed the package a few days ago, and the postal person said it should arrive in 7-10 working days... I hope it makes it in one piece!
I'm really enjoying the Aussie speed ball. I couldn't be happier with it. I'm getting a really good workout on it. It's got some heft – just what I need in order to burn some calories. Just in time for the holidays!
I'm going to sneak out later tonight (it's still Christmas Eve here) and try to put together a video to post on the board.
I hope hope you're all doing well.
I just learned that my (future) daughter-in-law's brother, Andrew had to cut short his Australian adventure. I guess he ran out of money sooner than he had planned. He said he thoroughly enjoyed his trip. He saw Uluru & crocs & sharks... and traveled along the ocean road just west of Melbourne which he said was spectacular. Sounds very exotic...
Thank you for your offer to meet up with Andrew & show him around your town... He was sorry that he couldn't have stayed long enough to meet you.
Hope you're still not slogging around in the sewer drains... from the looks of it, you're due for some sunshine & warmer weather... We'll be in the 30° temps for the next several days.
Say, I just put up a new punch-drumming video today... I punched to an old favorite of mine – you might know it ... “Down Under” by Men at Work... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1PRkHBw2ko Yup. I still can't get enough of this...
Sewer drainage work... I could share some interesting stories about homeowner's septic tanks...maybe next time we meet. ;-)
Yes, I got a stubbie/drink holder also. I use it to keep my java hot! Thanks, mate!
Thanks for the compliment on my skills. I've been like a woman possessed... Can't seem to get enough time under the bag...I LOVE it!
Re: your computer ... maybe a fuse that contols the cooling fan is blown. That is, if there is such a thing... If you decide to upgrade... I would suggest a Mac laptop. Trainer Raul was never good at readin'/writin' but the Mac is soooo User-Friendly, he gets around on the Mac really well. And I never seem to have "computer issues."
It's a drizzling rain this morning. Heading across the Puget Sound on the ferry to work at a "sister" newspaper on Vashon Island. Hope your weather improves soon. Take care mate,
