SB2010 was pretty "off the cuff". Which is good, because it was a lot of fun. This year, we've got 4 days to fill.
So - what activities do people want to see happen?
Here's a few ideas:
Charity event - there will definitely be some sort of Charity event, probably on Saturday morning. It will likely involve exhibition punching rather than an actual contest, or maybe a crowd judged contest. Charity details are still TBD, but we're working on it.
Punch Drumming lessons. There is a "back room" on the upper floor of the gym, with a door. we might be able to setup an isolated punch drumming room where people can get lessons with less of the noise.
Bagger showcase - I definitely want to do some sort of "showcase" where every bagger in attendance gets 3 minutes in the spotlight to show us their stuff. It would be taped. Here's the angle though ... if you wanna watch... you have to participate! We could get MC Sparrky37 to be the announcer. This could include a live punch drum performance, if anyone is interested in taking it to that level.
Live Musical Jam session - this isn't likely this year as Brian won't be in attendance (he'll be on tour in Europe!). Does anyone else have musical connections?
Punch Drummin' Jam - Crank the stereo up with some good punch drummin' tunes and have a group punch drum session.
Old Time Baggin' - Definitely be prepared to FLOOR BAG like the old schoolers did, also VERT baggin. And we've GOT TO get a station setup with a giant 36" drum and one of those watermelon blockbusters from the yesteryears, maybe with a 12" cord for a swivel too. I think that would be fun.
Autograph session - the autograph session was a lot of fun, setting time aside to get things autographed
Photo session - Group photo session is a necessity, it's a good chance to get some nice clear shots in the outdoor sunshine
Pub - There is a bar right down the street (walking distance from gym), which we only made it to once. We should do that again.
Group meals - We went to the italian place last year for dinner, and did quite a few group meals actually, that was always a good time.
Free baggin' - Of course there's plenty of time to just punch.
SPEED B.A.G. II promo video - We did vendor demos last year. Not sure if we'll need to do those again or not... but we can make a video featuring many of the baggers giving a shout out to whomever from SPEED B.A.G. II
What would you all like to see at SPEED B.A.G. II ?
