comparing speed bags-Title Pro vs Ringside vs Fighting Sports etcvs

i am probably considering to get two bags, perhaps a 6x9 and a large or extra large, locally i dont have many choices, a few generic brands and rebok (all small), the rebok has tri colour schemes that, to me, look like their marketed toward women, at any rate they dont suit me, james Bradley speed ball can be had if i go further afield or online but in their pic, one looks somewhat lopsided so it doesnt appeal to me at the moment

so far i have narrowed down to the two tone (shiny and suede leather) black Title Pro, the tri colour red, black and white RPSB Ringside (i came across a post by a bloke or two that preferred them over the NOS Ringsides due to a number of problems they had with them, burst seams, punched out of shape in a few weeks etc), the Fighting Sports bag (mixed reviews on amazon with two people saying they fell apart at the seams and the other two rating them high) and lastly the Cleto Reyes, by a few forum members these dont rate that high due to stiff wide loops and another chap or two that felt they had small sweet spots. i thought perhaps it may still be good choice for the large 7x11" ?, the other choice is the big blue X-large Title 10x12" which is the largest size i've seen, not offered by the other brands

i suspect no one uses the X-large Title bag but was wondering what you all thought about the others mentioned, how would you compare them, in terms of weight, quality (dont really want them falling apart lol), holding shape, bladder durability (do i need spare bladders?) and any other input or comments you can offer

    cheers

There are people who like and use the x-large blue Title bag. But mine is too sluggish, feels dead, probably needs a bladder transplant. The next big bag I'd like to get is the Jim Bradley, I believe Bradley make the largest bag available anywhere. Their quality is supposed to be good.

The NOS Ringsides are high quality, and their biggest bag is great. Never had a problem with one.

The Title gold 8x5 is a nice bag, smaller than what you are looking for, but a long lasting bag that hits nicely.

G'day Ralph, wow, you have just about got all those mentioned covered, i noticed with a bit of searching on the forum you have the ringside (red/white and black), fighting sports, and now mentioned the Cleto Reyes and the Title Pro you da man hehe

would it be possible for you to sum up the differences between them? or in order of preference and why

you only have the smallest CR but i guess it sounds like that would be your preferred choice if money didnt enter it ?...the loop, does it fit properly on (i have yet to get a swivel) say, Dee's deville swivel, the cheap but presumably good everlast ball swivel, was considering that one as to my door it would cost less than $20, about one quarter the cost of Dee's nice swivel or (doubt you have this one) the Pro "Grant" style Swivel (its another i'm considering (i might get two) since i saw a bloke on the forum with a vid of it and saying it performed well, i was thinking that may be a good choice for the large bag (extra weight and harder hits i guess), hitting non bible style, more, heck what do i know lol, boxing or freestyle i suppose you would call it

Just flicking threw your post here about the jim bradley bags.
Yeah there good but lack alot in rebound and do float around.
Ive hit on them alot and have changed to a Sting speed bag now which is 9 x 6
( A little smaller than the Bradley). This is the best Aussie bag which has great rebound and quailty but only comes in black.

These are two of my favs. Both with their original bladders. I've used them daily now for the better part of a year.

FS has a little bigger belly and gives you a great workout.

thanks for the responses thus far guys, its helpful

before i make my choice based on the above info, any other takers? i thought the speed balls mentioned were fairly popular brands used and was a little bit hopeful some more people would have would have used a couple to compare?

or are they all pretty much the same?
one could just take the plunge and get any of them but shipping to Australia can be expensive, so avoiding do overs is preferable.

                  cheers

p.s ,another [weird] question, why are some of these speed balls referred to as banana shaped? to me a banana is shaped a bit like a crescent moon, these arnt shaped like that

The "bananna" bags are more oblong than pear shape, and yes they "hit" differently than the latter. I personally don't know if they are any good for "Bible" style punching, perhaps some here has had experience with them. Ringside dabbled with them for a while but seem to have gone back to the pear shape bags. The are other shapes out there, some of them a bit on the weird side, and reports on those pretty much say if you're serious about bagging don't buy them.

IMO, the bag shape has less effect on "Bible style" punching than the swivel does. I've hit plenty of bananna bags that were fast and accurate, but eventually bag shape comes down to personal preference. I personally prefer the tear drop shape for the bags are fatter toward the bottom, with a lower bag belly. Some bananna bags have the belly (fatest part) more toward the middle with a longer bag taper to the bottom. My hands normally tend to hit lower on the bag and I find them "slipping" just a bit on the tapered bottom.
Others I know prefer the longer leaner bags and they hit just as accurately on them. Again, personal preference.

so the Fighting Sports (first pic) and the Title Pro (4th pic) would be called tear drop or pear shaped, yes

what would you call the Cleto Reyes (second pic), tear drop or banana?

and the Morgan (pic 3), banana?

and the Ringside (pic 5) looks about the same as the Reyes to my eyes, perhaps a little fatter around the middle, banana or tear drop shaped?

For me it's pretty simple. If it looks like a bananna, (long and lean per size) than it is.

In this group, the Reyes and Ringside look narrower per size than the others. But I agree with ventanakaz's comment, hitting all size and shapes is a great experience (if you have access to them...). It's the best way to find your next "favorite bag". For the record, my current favorite is that black Title Pro underneath the "morgan", bubble bag (my least favorite looking bag in this group).

To answer your question, chippy, about the Cleto bags fitting on the Deville swivel hooks, the answer is yes.

Here's a brief clip showing that the big blue Title bag, the large red Cleto, and the medium Cleto bags will fit on the Deville S hook.

Does your big blue Title have any liveliness in its rebound ? Mine's a bit dead, have a new bladder but haven't got around to changing it.
