    The packaging is the style used in the early to mid 1980's. One of my 4207's is from that time period, and it has the leather welting. This bag looks like it has been little used, if at all.

      Yep me too. Got two scars, one on each base of my pinkie fingers, from beating those plastic beads flat. The cuts never hurt much till they reached the bone, than we'd wrap a sock around it. A used sock, of course.

      College kids were cheap in those days.

        Actually it looks NEVER used, as in new. Maybe hidden away and forgot about or old stock never sold until now. who knows where these things have been. If speed bags could talk, oh the tales they could tell.
