    Speed ball in the fall

    Official Announcement
    for
    Speed Ball in the Fall

Donnie Blanks has graciously opened his door to Speed Baggers, once again, this time for a one day Bag-A-Thon.
It would be great to see as many people as possible, especially from the North East region, who have attended other gatherings in the past.
My plan for this event was to raise money for The Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware and also for the renovations of The "New" Real Gymm.
So, for a dollar donation, you will receive one minute of some of the best speed bagging ever seen. That's a great deal!! You can't buy anything for a dollar these days. My goal is to keep a bag moving for FIVE hours. That would be if there is at least $300.00 donated. I then wanted to purchase a platform for the Boys and Girls Club and donate it to them but they have not accepted my offer yet. They will however take monetary donations. I'm capped at five hours but any other donations of money or equipment will be forwarded to Real Gymm. I hope everyone can contribute because this gym is a huge supporter of the speed bag and our community.
The second event will be a Speed Demon contest. There will be multiple events, in which a contestant can compete with other enthusiasts for prizes and maybe a little prestige. For awards, I was thinking about medals for the winners and or some equipment in each division. This event is still in its infancy and I'm open to all suggestions on how to make this a great success.
Of course there will also be plenty of freestyle baggers to watch and learn from....

    Come one, come all
    to
    Speed Ball in the Fall

I will continue to post updates as they are available and please use this post as a Roll Call. Who is down for another great time in New Jersey?
The Speed Ball should be in every hall

Great idea, Tommy! Sounds like everyone will have a great time. Wish I could be there, but my traveling days are over for a while.

I had so much fun in July meeting everyone. I have never met a nicer group of people. It killed me to have to bail early (for a %#*&@ Baby shower!) & miss a screening of the (then unfinished) movie, so if you're gonna have a showing I will have to get myself down there.

Besides, you were kind enough to schedule this on the Jets Bye week, so how can I pass it up? Count me in.

If you were a Giants fan you wouldn't have to worry about that.... but the Jets have pleasantly surprised everyone this year.

I am man enough to admit, as a long-suffering and bitter Jets fan I am taking just a little pleasure in the demise of the Giants.....As a fan of the Jets & Mets I have suffered abuse at the hands of Giants/Yankees fans for most of my adult life, so this is a good week to be me. As for pleasant suprises, the suprise on the faces of Shady Tom Brady & Bill Belicheat looked far from pleasant - I am enjoying this too.

Any Jets fan will tell you, you have to celebrate when you can because history has shown these happy times are short lived.

that sounds like those one or two golf shots I make out of 129 or so during a round, that keep me going back.

I love whats up with the Jets since those jokers on Fox Sports (bradshaw and bunch) said this new quarterback would never make it in the pros during the first show of the year. They picked Jets "to lose big" for the first two weeks.

I'd love to send them a set of spices to kill the taste of crow.

Be fair to yourself, in Texas everything is bigger, it's the home of the 120 par golf course. A 129 isn't too bad.

I know, but it's 120 for 18 holes. I reach that after 9 or 10. Saves me from walking the last 5 or 6 holes.
