    Under Armour

sucks unless your ripped like a spartan, went in the sport store today and saw they had it! was like OMG! had to go check it out

all i can say is horrible! material wasnt very nice and the cut of the clothes is EXTREMELY unflattering unless your ripped like a spartan. the advertisement pictures are extremely miss leading, and the stuff looks awefull on unless you are totall ripped. i was really dissapointed.

big thumbs down from me tbh

what do you guys think about it?

I know what you mean, but you know what? I don't go into a gym to compete in a bodybuilding contest. I do have several of those shirts and I mostly wear them as undershirts but I have worn them alone while boxing and/or working out and I like the fact that they don't get heavy when they get soaked with sweat.

Also, they make them both tight fitting and loose fitting. I have two of each, one is an actual UnderArmor shirt and the others are Adidas. I'm not as self conscious when I wear the loose fitting shirt.

One thing I did notice about these materials is that my velcro armband for my Ipod ruined one of them from my arm brushing up against my body near my armpit as I ran. Make sure you don't put the rough side of the velcro against one of these shirts where it can rub.

I have a few of these garments, mostly rash guards for grappling, and I agree with Chris that they wick away sweat pretty good and that's a big thing for me. I work resurfacing runway mats for aircraft carriers and I wear a paintsuit that covers most of my body and head for 8 hrs or more. Needless to say I sweat almost unhealthy amounts a day(I drink plenty of water and Gatorade) and I would get rashes from how my shirt would rub on me. The rash guard sleeveless shirt gets me made fun of at work by my buddies, everyones a comedian these days, but it's worth it.

PS: Gez you mean to tell me you aint ripped? just kidding man!

hmmm, ya, I have an Under Armour hoodie sweatshirt and love it....but it's not for actually sweating...now that it's hot I work out topless and let my sweat do what it's supposed to do; cool my body...

Sounds like the only solution is for you to go ahead and get ripped!!

Muay-thai with the right coach will get you ripped for sure I love muay-thai it helped me lose a lot of weight but be very careful, it is really bad for your knees. I trained thai boxing for over a year in a really good gym. And just when I was getting into it and thinking of going to Thailand (I recommend Thailand for anyone looking for a chill, nice and cheap place) to train there in a really nice camp by the beach in a remote location... I broke my knee's ligaments and the meniscus because of overtraining and the damage from muay thai.

I haven't seen underarmour clothes around here but it's ok Im still on my way to ripped lol

You'll see Plenty of it in Miami.

I remember the days of yesteryear, wearing those tight fitting shirts, pumping up for a night at the Disco....

now, it's lose fitting clothes and baggy sweatshirts.

it helps also to have hte right body type and good posture... 1% of people will look good in them....

I wear the Adidas and Nike knock offs of under armour - help a lot when running ... wicks sweat nicely and you don;t have to surgically remove a wet tshirt when coming home from a long run....
I have an under armour sweatshirt too which is pretty warm... my clothes of that type are the lose fitting kind... looks better...

step up your running to 4 miles instead of 2 - 2 miles you will finish in 20 minutes... I believe in 1/2 hour + runs for any benefit and 1 hour runs are the best if you ask me.

damn billy, you got some pretty nice muscle goin on there! what sort of weight / strength training do you do?

gona post some before and after pics of a month of training and see how much i change, probably not masses but im hoping to see an improvement. my weight and carido will take a real kick in the butt and im gona train religiously alternate days aswell as muay thai classes, and using a couple of suppliments to help me bulk up abit

                            p.s are those golf gloves?

thanks, man...I do a brutal combination of weight training, with intervals on the DE bag, heavy bag and lots of speed baggin...I also swim a mile after this and drink a nice protein shake for dinner. The weight training is pretty basic stuff, bench, curls, and rows but I also do pullups and then toss a medicine ball over my pullup bar back and forth between arms.

Since I committed to doing this triathlon, I have been running and cycling a lot. I started training in April and was at 195 lbs. with 20% body fat. I am currently at 162 and 11% BF.

Ya, those are golfing gloves. They are perfect for my workouts. The leather is strong yet extremely supple. I leave them on for everything: weights, pullups, and bag work. They have a nice tight fit so they support my hand bones, but they are thin and virtually seamless so I get nice tactile dexterity. Also they have better grip on the speed bag than cotton wraps so I don't misshit as much. If I feel like going nuts on the heavy bag I can slide some bag gloves over them and wail away...
