From a bloke that only has 4 weeks experience.
1 get the speedbag bible and book by Alan Kahn.
2 Get a large bag. Smaller ones will be harder to consistently hit.
3 Hit it with your fingertips for the first couple minutes to get into the rhythm.
4 Keep a diary with the hits you are doing, along with the amount of time you have done.
5 take some video, upload it to you tube, and then post it here, I am getting loads of help from the experienced baggers on here.
6 or should that be 1, have fun with it.

    Good luck
    L
If you can't do it slow, you can't do it fast.
So Slow = Smooth and Smooth = Fast.

This is a pretty good sampling of a speed bag you might be interested in. (That is if you live in the USA). Price is good. Shipping could be done a few dollars cheaper but it is in your price range. The bag, to me, is not too big or too small. From this bag you can go larger and/or smaller as you see fit.

There are quite a few experienced guys on here using large bags, so don't let that worry you. One thing my JKD instructor said to me is "don't let your ego dictate your progress". However each individual is different and will progress at a different rate. 30 bucks is not a fortune though, so if you decide to buy another size in a few months, you will have 2 you can use. Just take a look at some of the guys vids. You will see a whole bunch of different bags hanging off hooks in the background.

            Cheers

From my perspective, I thought I was going to have just 1 or 2 bags. But as I hit them they all have different qualities about them. For me it's hard to think I could not have a lot of different bags. I started on the Everlast Elite black 6x9 bag. I thought this bag was the best. It bounced really good, was easy to hit. Then I wanted something for doing a boxing triplet style punching and get a good workout. I then moved up to a 7x10 Title bag. I then wanted a smaller bag to work on speed with. I then got a Physical success and Cleto Reyes 5x8. Then I didn't like the way the Everlast Elite black 6x9 was banana shaped and got a Title 6x9. Then I found the Title 6x9 was a great bag to hit on because I was now more conditioned and was able to hit a heavier slower bag and make it fast.

I can keep going on and on why I like each new different bag that I keep. I gave away 2 bags to my work's boxing club because I didn't like them.

You might be different, but I found that i use different bags for different type workouts, be it boxing triplet, learning a new "bible" style technique, going fast, going slow, angry type workouts to wail on a bag to relieve stress. I could not picture it without all of my different bags.

Hmmm. The other places that I have seen selling S bags overseas from the USA, was Great Britain, Australia. Of course, I have no need to find vendors all over the planet to get bags from so I never searched for them. I guess it is up to you to find countries that can fill your home place area for boxing equipment
