    My New Swivel

Hey guys I'm new to this forum. I started hitting the Speed Bag about a month ago after watching Art of the Bag and then I ordered Alan's Speed Bag bible. I have a giant Rogue Rig and I ordered the platform they have for a Speed Bag. I got the best bag they had in a medium and the best swivel they had. After trying to implement Alan's work I noticed I really liked the sound his speed bag/swivel made. So I looked for the Ball Hook and couldn't find one anywhere. I finally got one on Ebay and I am posting a picture to see if the experienced guys know about it. I really like it and it sounds like the one Alan uses. It makes a big difference with the sound. It has taken me a bit to adjust because if I hit it off center it makes it spin in a circle more.... But when I am on it is awesome. Here are the pics if anyone can give me more info. Thanks.

Hope your first month of speed bagging has been a good one. What did that swivel cost you and is it loud? Looks like it might be.. not that really matters. I can tell you that the Forza swivels are really, really good and all you hear is the leather and the wood. No metal clanking whatsoever

Unfortunately the pictures don't seem to be enlarging, I wanted to get a good look at the hook.

Here are a few more pics. I tape it up like Alan said to make sure it doesn't fly off. But you mentioned the sound. Yes it is loud but it may sound crazy but I prefer hitting the bag with the sound. For some reason I can get into rhythm much better. It sounds like some of the video's in the speed bag bible videos.

Guess what really matters is if it works for you. Sounds like it does. That being said, you might find your swivel wears out somewhat quickly. The stamped metal models such as the one you have tend to do that.

Personally, I like the old Everlast ball and hook swivels (the ones going back to the Eighties). They come up on Ebay if you keep your eyes open and some of the forum members have them for sale as well.

Want to Purchase a Ball Hook Swivel

I would like to purchase a swivel that is a good ball hook. Any ideas on where I can purchase one? I have tried Neville on the forum I think. I messaged that person but have gotten no response. Anyone selling a good ball hook swivel I will purchase. Thanks.

For what it's worth, many of the $150 ball hooks that are on Ebay currently are the Everlast version of the one you have.

The ball hook Everlast that I like is model number 4440. They come up quite often usually around $35.

I really like your total workout setup. You got everything going on with that setup.
