    Announcement: the Arc swivel

Today I am announcing the Arc swivel. #ArcSwivel

The Arc comes in 4 fantastic colors (more colors later)...

This high performance swivel sports the following features:

    - High tech thermoelastic polymer and stainless steel construction
    - Smooth, accurate hits and rebounds
    - Free motion in all directions, essential for Bible style bagging
    - Fast, short pendulum swing, try to keep up!
    - Quiet. Virtually no noticable sound from the swivel in use.
    - Strong and durable (surprisingly so)
    - Long lasting low friction contact surfaces, no lubrication needed
    - Innovative tri-hook bag hanger
    - - - quick bag changes and keeps the loop securely centered
    - - - Compatible with all but the thickest loop bags
    - - - No more tangles (just like the shampoo)
    - - - Flip-down clasp keeps the bag from flying off
    - Standard Everlast hole pattern, 69mm diagonal, 49mm adjacent
    - I think I'm forgetting at least 10 more things...

After nearly a year in research and development, and a positive reception at SpeedB.A.G IX, I am ready to make it available to the forum. This is my hobby, and I am not a business. My goal is not to profit from selling it, but to get it out there and have fun doing it. So I am going to sell them for charity. The price is $40 each plus shipping.

I have 10 Arc Fuel (red) swivels ready to ship now. Other colors will take an extra few days for me to make them first.

My preferred charity is the Arctic Spirit Rescue out of West Chester, PA. Arctic Spirit is a rescue organization for North American Sled Dog breeds, and I have donated to them and volunteered for them for years. When the local SPCA gives up on a northern breed dog and is about to euthanize them, Arctic Spirit steps up and rescues the dog, gets the necessary and immediate veterinary care, and places the dog with a volunteer foster family until they find a permanent adoption home.

If for whatever reason you are not comfortable having the money you paid for your swivel go to this charity, I will offer two other options, the ASPCA and The Humane Society of the United States.

Here is how it is going to work. Anyone who wants to buy a swivel, PM me with your eBay name and your choices of color and charity, and I will give you a link to an eBay for Charity listing. The listing will have Buy It Now button, and Make an Offer button. Don't use the Buy it Now button. I will make that price sufficiently high so I don't accidentally sell it to a random person. Use the Make an Offer button, and when I get the offer, I will accept. You pay for the purchase with PayPal (buyer pays shipping), and some days later, PayPal Giving Fund transfers 100% of the purchase price directly to the charity you chose. I don't make a dime, but the satisfaction for helping a charity is priceless.

Like I said above, this is my hobby, not a business, so no warranties here. That being said, if it breaks and you send me back the broken parts, I'll send you a replacement if possible.

    -Rusty

FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE HERE....This swivel is the Real Deal!! THE smoothest action, accurate rebound, EASY on-off Bag attachment.... just a beautiful and brilliant swivel. Only rebound sound is the bag, no ball chanking on wood, just bag. IF you can get one (or two....) I'd jump as fast as I could. Great Job, Rusty.

(by the way, Matt (speedbagataraxis), Louis Dolfinger (G-Town) Justin Buffamonte (Juxt) and all the others at Speed Bag #9 loved it.)

Above where I say "Compatible with all but the thickest loop bags", I should be a more specific about that. I'll come up with a list of bags that I know fit, and you can compare yours from that list.

I can confirm that all my bags will fit on this tri-hook. Balazs Laser, Title Gyro, Title Platinum, Title Big Blue, Ringside XS (in photo below), and all my vintage Everlast bags. There were 2 or 3 others at the gathering that were used. One I think was a Title Black, One was a Title Platinum Perilous, and the third I don't recall.

You might have trouble with a very short loop, or one that you have shortened.

Here is a closup of how you hang the bag. The clasp just flips up, slide on the bag loop, flip back down. When the clasp is up, you can bend the tri-hook slightly to wiggle in a very thick loop. But if you have a very wide loop, wider than the Ringside, it could be a problem. Are the Cletos that way?

The ringside heritage loops are the thickest I have, considerably meatier than my cleto's. Depending on the flexibility I think a cleto would fit on that. As far as loop width (side to side) my Titles are a little wider than the cletos.

Since the Arcs are beginning to ship, I want to give a few tips about install and use.

                  - Do NOT lubricate. It is designed to operate dry. If it gets dirty, just wipe it clean, or if you must, wash with soap and water and dry. The polymers should be fairly resistant to chemicals, but I have not tested any.

                  - I included mounting screws, #10 x 1" wood screws. You may want to use your existing screws or bolts so you do not damage the threads in your platform.

                  - The center area of the platform above the swivel should be flat and smooth. The ball in the Arc swivel sits very close to the platform and obviously needs to move freely.

                  - I included an extra tri-hook clasp in case the one on the swivel gets lost.

I am working on stocking up all four colors now, so keep those orders rolling in! Arctic Spirit and I thank you!

I have been getting some questions about the process to get an Arc (or two. or how about a nice six-pack ) Its easy.

Send me a Private Message, tell me what color(s) you want, which of my 3 charities you pick, and give me your eBay name and your zip code or country.

And unless you specify a particular shipping method, I'll just figure out the most economical.

Then I will make an eBay Buy It Now/Best Offer listing specifically for you with your swivels in the picture, and I'll send you a link via PM. You use the Make Offer button and put in $40 per swivel and I will accept your offer. Then you pay via PayPal and I print a label and ship it.

                          Easy peasy.

It is a great swivel design. Lube free is a feature I can't live without and he's achieved it with a quick bag change out. And it's quiet. And fast.
