    Heavy bag Height

I recently purchased a heavy duty chain with spring from everlast.com. I hang the bag from an 8-9 foot ceiling, and the new chain is at least 13 feet long. How can i go about shortening the chain, is there anyway to adjust it?

Use a hack saw and cut above the link you want to use. I like my heavy bag top to be about 6 inches above my head

Just put the "S" hook through another link and let the extra dangle? Or if they're closed (bent around the links) you can buy a hook at the hardware store, some with closures if you are worried about the bag coming off. Just a suggestion, I see you've solved your problem already, but others might be checking this out.
