That one went for $9.95, this one went for $98.00. Both in very similar condition. Wow.

I'm amazed at how many 29P "reapers" are being sold on eBay now. I wonder if Google is turning up this thread? Hi Google! Hi Internet!

I noticed one bag has Rawlings St Louis stamped and the other one has Rawlings USA. Probably still made with the same dimensions

Interesting. We know from the catalog that the "made is usa" version was made in at least 1966. I am guessing the $9.95 one was even older. Somebody really got a bargain there. I hope they find this forum and restore and use it.

Here is a 29P that is on ebay today. It appears to have no -Made in the USA, St Louis, USA nor stamp of any kind. Check out the tricky hanger attached to the loop

I scored a VERY nice reaper on eBay for a light $20. This one is in great shape, very few scuffs or stains, but in some need of leather care. The coolest part was the lacing was factory, double straight laced across. That simple detail alone probably took some dedicated worker at least an hour of their difficult work day to lace up, and I really do appreciate that. That person might be dead now, but if not, cheer to you!

Probably took less than an hour Rusty, I've seen film on the making of footballs, and showed the person that laces up and test inflates each one off the line. It boggles the mind. It's still done by hand as they haven't figured out how to make a machine do it quicker and for less....https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...CC&FORM=VRDGAR

Very cool. I like that special lacing tool they had to pull the lace through.

Another Rawlings 29P on eBay, marked down to 80 bucks from a 140. Nice looking bag, but not really worth that amount, let alone the original asking price

I see one there for $98. Not even inflated! What a rip! Air has gotta be worth a few bucks.
