Question changing speed bag swivel

if i change the speed bag swivel and i have to screw the screws into the wholes of the old swivel will it stay firmly

It should , you might want to use larger screws. I wouldn't make a habit of changing swivels this way regularly of course.

Another option is to drill all the way through and use bolts instead (maybe an option for you , maybe not - depends on what platform we're talking about) , or to drill another set of holes offset from the originals (a little ugly, but guaranteees a tight fit.
