I have 5 pcs. of "stainless steel housing/base only" (no ball and hook) patterned after the everlast plastic housing and probably the closest you can get to the powermill. These are individually hand turned from a solid shaft of 304 stainless steel. Solidly built weighing almost haft a kilo ea. Perfect for the white plastic ball of everlast or any ball that is 1" in diameter. The price is $35ea. You pay shipping and handling. You can check the photos. Just a heads up, shipping cost might be a quite high than usual because of my location. I am from the Philippines. Again, "stainless steel housing/base only" (no ball and hook).
As of now I only have 5. Please PM me if you're interested.?

    Thank you very much! Butch😊
    Butch,

From the pics the swivels do indeed look like the Powermills.

Personally, I'm partial to steel over plastic as I think it will hold up better where I would use it and noise is not an issue.

What is the diameter of the recess where the ball goes? (I would be using the ball/hook from an old metal Everlast.) Also, any idea on shipping?

I used to feel that way too. Where would you use it?

A public youth center where the equipment is not necessarily monitored.

Pretty much sums it up. Really has to be a swivel that does not come apart and is pretty much bomb proof. What I have been using is an old Everlast ball hook with the base and female part Loctited together. Works well for most part, with that said in the past the swivel has been unbolted and gone missing. The swivel the OP posted would eliminate the need for the Loctite hence my question on the diameter as I would just drop in the current ball hook. Of course, that would not eliminate the unbolting issue.

You could use tamper-resistant screws on the base.

                Hi Steve.
The diameter is 1". I don't have the old Everlast metal ball but I have the ball hook assembly from the plastic Everlast swivel (as can be seen in the pictures). I am confident that this ball can fit into this steel housing.
Shipping is $40 for one piece and $46 for two pieces, via Air21/UPS. Estimated shipping time is 3 to 4 days..
                Thank you, Butch

Excellent suggestion and I appreciate you're making it.

Sadly, the condition on the wood after decades of wear and tear as well as "fixes" by folks who either did not know what they were doing or maybe didn't care has resulted in the use of bolts being the only option. Other than around the swivel things are in great shape.

                                I received the swivels today.

They are extremely well made. I have an Evil that I compared it to and for all intents and purposes this is the same swivel. The ball/hook assembly from an old Everlast fit perfectly.

Have not yet mounted and will try and post pics.
