    Dee Pooler chillin'!

I had to post this. He doesn't come to the forum much so he goes a little unnoticed. But being that there is a new batch of bagified posters, I had to throw some Dee Pooler up!
Alan Kahn gives it up to him! Skunk does! I think everyone does.
He is one of my favorite baggers! He is one of the first I ever saw. It was pretty much all about Alan Kahn, Skunk and Dee Pooler for me. Every time I'd watch them I'd learn something new.
I have so much fun watchin' Dee bag. He is so chill and in control.
Most of the time he is baggin' sick combos involving ribbing, bumping, phantoms, doubles and triples. He has his own flow and everyone of us should take some time to watch his power. See if you can hit some of these combos as slow as Dee, proving total control. There are vids of him tearing it up speed wise, but I don't think he is about that so much.
    Anyhow......ladies and gents.... Dee Pooler!

The unique aspect of Dee is that he "studies" the bag and thinks of "how it works" and what he can do "...after the last strike". He has amazing control of his elbows, particularly the inward elbows. Throw in his phantom or shadow punches and double bumps and you have one amazing bagger who truly loves teaching. When you see most of his video's he is not about "what HE can do" as much as showing what the BAG can do. He is a very humble person and a great assest to the speed bag community. He has a joyful personality and I've been blessed to speak with him on several occassions. Great bagging is not all about pure speed, and there are not many out there who are gonna show him up on bag skills or knowledge. He can definitely walk the talk on the speed bag.

great post BT. We need to be reminded occassionally of those who are often silent, but very deadly on bag skills.

      Chillin'

Hes so relaxed/ chilled out on this bag, shows how controlled and lack of effort hes able to just throw out 7-8 hit combos or the single handed 4hit combos. I'm impressed, with Dee, most would show lil' more effort or how would I say it Stress on the combos but he just so effortlessly and relaxed just demonstrates these harder/complex combos to us for others to learn and view.

      5/5 from me.

DEE POOLER is AMAZING, He makes the speed bag almost seem like a martial art in itself.....When he's hitting slow it seems like some ancient lost TAI CHI moves!!! Could it be that when you are in the zone and killin it on the bag you are generating some sort of CHI energy?!?!?! Is that why the SPEED BAG IS SO ADDICTING!?!?! Hmmmmm

Speedbag said above all, the speed bag is an accuracy bag. You have to have accurate hits for that kind of control Dee shows. I still find it amazing how that is all done so fast (and slow) by watching not only the cream like Speedbag, Dee, Skunk and Tim, but how all the others on this forum pick it up. What an art form.

                  Offical invite

Dee is great ,Unique ,he is the master of the short punch and perhaps when a date and place has been sorted,Tim could send an offical invite to him ,his presence at the 2010 convention would be unreal.this is only a suggestion as the cogs have more than likely been set in motion along that path. deano

                          Dee says Hi

I just spoke to Dee on the phone. He has been in Fresno CA. working with the American Indian Health Project for about six months now. He is helping the local tribe set up speed bag training program and hopes to do a seminar or demonstration in the future, perhaps in their casino out there.
He's hoping to set up a program for the disabled out there, particularly the diabetic and blind. He's looking for some decent freestanding floor models, but I don't know of any right off hand.

He has been offline for a while away from computers and wanted me to tell all his bag brothers hello. He thinking about us and sure hopes we get a gathering next year.

Dee Pooler is one of the greats. The baggist showed me some of his vids a while back and I was enthrawled.

Dee is really something helping the people like that. They certainly have a great speed bag teacher, and with a great heart too.

Sure glad you both had a chance to talk. That must have been special.
