    Is this junk?

This is the swivel from my 70's era platform I had as a kid, and recently found in my garage.

I have a new XMark XM-2811, but I'm not crazy about the chain swivel. I bought a Title deluxe pro swivel on Amazon, but got the junk model without bearings, so I returned that. I'm considering drilling some new holes to mount this to see if this old one works better.

    Just looking for some opinions.

Looks good to me. If it's from the 70's it was probably made in the USA so the quality is probably better than alot of the swivels on the market today. There's only one way to find out... Put it on your board and hit it!!

I would definitely listen to the man, he's forgot more about speed bag equipment than most of us ever knew. I would also confirm that to be a Tuf Wear ballhook. I had several back in the day...

Well if the base was Tuf Wear, the ball hook must be too because I never had to replace it. I forget what year I got it at the local sporting goods store, probably 1978. I found an old photo of my setup, mounting bars already broken and replaced with homemade ones, from around 1984. I still have that Everlast bag, but it is has holes and the strap tore.
