What to do if a bird makes a nest on your speed bag platform

Hi, I've been lurking here for awhile (wow, what a great community!), but now I have an unusual problem and need some ideas. My speed bag is mounted to the outside wall of my log cabin, on the front porch. Sometime this week a bird built a nest on top of my platform, right on top of one of the sandbags. I don't really know what to do because I fear the vibration might be too much for the nest and I don't want to harm any lives, but I also don't want to give up my speed bag! Any suggestions from the crowd? Thanks so much!

Are there eggs in it yet? If not, just take the nest down... they'll build another one. Once you take it down, put something up there to keep them away... a rubber snake maybe? Not sure if that really works, but I think birds would fall for that trick.

If there are already bird eggs I suggest you don't touch it.
