His beard looks good on him. You can have those skills. It starts with control. Then speed develops. Helps to do it no stop. Control, that's the ticket. If you can't do it slowly, you can't do it fast. Even skunk started like everyone else. Got better, then really good. Really, really good. Love um!
Don't buy your speed bag from the same place you buy your tackle box.

Actually, I think Skunk lives by this mantra:

"Go as fast as you can until you fear for your life, than backed off...."

I first met him in May of 2007 in Orlando and he was "FAST" always living on the edge of losing control. I thought he was punching a bit "tense" and trying to "hit hard" to go fast, which will actually limit your speed. I told him to slow down, learn to hit relaxed, without forcibly straining to go fast. He says that tip worked and in a few weeks he got "a lot faster", which was pretty scary when you think about how fast he was going before.

He is a true speed bag phenom. Actually he is a an unreal athlete in every thing he does. Strength for his size is unreal.

I watched everything he has put online. Great reference material for sure.

Don't confuse "skills" with "speed". Many of us already have these punching skills, by that I mean the techniques and combinations he is doing (single punches, double punches (FDP & RDP) Outward and Downward elbow strikes, fist linking through the bag front, to back - sorry, didn't see any of the six side techniques). The remarkable thing is the speed he is doing them with, showing excellent form and precise control. He is also a very powerful guy, and has learned to control his movements to release his power precisely ....and the bag does exactly what is supposed to, albeit VERY FAST. But he is missing at least six or more techniques and more advanced combinations of moving the fists around the bag with one rebound. He is fascinating to watch, extremely fast and the sound is explosive, ... which shows how much pure speed really fascinates people. He kind of reminds me of speedbag scissorhands, who is also extremely fast on front and back, but tends to ignore the sides of the bag. SBS does do side double punches occasionally. I did not see the man in the above video make any side techniques.
