Definitely a good idea - for a commercial version I would try and research as many swivel mounts as possible and then machine up a plate that had them all on there and threaded for grub screws

Here's the latest - all parts requiring welding were done tonight - waiting for verticals to come back with slots and then will finalise the mounts and prep for painting...

Got the vertical sections back from my Brother and his miller today and then welded the nuts using the finished sections as fitment guides.

I've spent the rest of the night prepping the assembly ready for spraying tomorrow

Also prepped the holes for mounting on the Drum. I'm still awaiting some specific washers and bolts to arrive from FleaBay before I can route out the recesses for the mounting bolts.

The final image is what I'm going to be replacing - I bought it as a trial to see if I would enjoy speedbagging and the answer was a resounding yes but then I discovered that what I had was woefully inadequate - hence the current build project.

Beautiful job on the drum, DP! Looks like you're pretty close to putting it all together. Can't wait to see the final reveal.

It's all done - for a prototype I'm every happy with it - it's rock solid with just the tiniest hint of a vibration on a very hard punch - which can only be picked up by your ears really as a sort of "zing" noise and was traced to the insides of one of the hand wheels on the tighteners! LOL

it was sorted with just a quick tighten!

will Post a video of it in action soon...

I used Hammerite on it - big mistake - hammerite isn't what it used to be - One day I might strip the paint off and give it a proper coating of paint with a compressor and spraygun - but for now it will suffice...
