News reports were sketchy... I found this snapshot in the evidence locker...

Looks a lot like the old black plastic ballhook swivel with the black housing painted green. except the green housing edge is a lot thicker than the everlast version.

Did you 3D print a swivel base and swap in the Everlast plastic ball and hook? OR even lathe a plastic disk?

Update: Sadly, I haven't used it yet. In the past I'd bought a lot of stuff I never used. I've taken some to the gatherings but not really used them myself. I kind of hate changing bag bladders (the worst) and swivels. I have had a large collection of swivels over the years, and pretty much keep the one up that I'm satisfied with. But lately I have tried a new ballhook model.

I suppose in my old age I'm not as personally inquisitive about slight changes in equipment. Bags shapes and sizes, materials etc. have become so unpredictable lately.....by the time you try a bag and make a determination if you like it and recommend it....the manufacturer changes something (usually to lower cost and boost profit margin)...and any reliability over time is lost. One batch of a certain bag are great, the next batch is different - so I've kind of quit worrying about it lately.

IMO, No sense to pay for a bag and then tell the world its "good" or "bad" when there is little consistency in the product over time. Swivels I guess aren't so unreliable, as there are very few models available or manufacturers making them. In all honesty the differences I've experienced in most of the modern ball hooks is minimal. Same for U-bolts and chain link models. Each has it's own action and flaws....advantages and disadvantages, but the variance within each model is becoming negligible (to me). Normally I could make any of them work for me if I have to punch on it for any length of time, but I always go back to my favorite ballhook - as well as favorite bags. When I travel to punch for demo or whatever, I take a few of my favorite bags and a few ballhooks.

disclaimer: In the past I'd get "free" bags to try from certain manufacturers, or significant discounts.... so I was more excited to "punch them up" and see how they do. Those days are gone, so now that I have to buy new bags (retail), ..I'm not so curious . I personally have over 30 bags of various sizes laying around (it was waaay more than that years ago), - And I can't really see spending lots of money on new bags just to "see how they do." I also trust many more baggers now to give an informed opinion on any bag model. Sadly, with little production consistency of speed bags, those opinions might only be on "that individual bag."

for instance, I truly love the Title Black Turbo. I've bought several since it came out. Some for me, some as gifts. I'd say 75% of them have been fine and consistent for size, shape and action. The other 25% have been warped or have odd bubbles bulging up after inflation. Sometimes the bubble is above the hitting area and sometimes close to the belly. That's depressing, to pay $79.00 for a bag and find the shape warped or bubbled. Sure you send it back for exchange, but what a hassle. When I really want a new bag, of any model, I always buy two of them, just in case.

                          Not very economical.

To be honest, making it was the easier part. At least 90% or more of the effort is engineering design, testing, redesign, testing, redesign, testing, repeat...

I didn't keep count, but this one is one of at least 20 designs.
