Seriously Letterman!? I Stayed Up For What!?

An f---ing cotton candy toupe beat out punchdrumming!? And then a kid with a shirt that was too small shotgunning a bottle of water? Seriously!? Wait, why am I bitching? The segment is called "STUPID Human Tricks. Punchdrumming isn't stupid. Too much skill for Paul I guess. The little guy don't like to be upstaged......I admit I was excited with the guy bouncing a ball on his head nd jumping rope. It was downhill from there. Alan could have saved it but nnnnnnooooooooooooooooooo we gotta ruin cotton candy for everyone! Sheesh.

Ah, it's all good, MD. the guy jumping rope was the quickest "skill event" they could get on. the other two were stupid, yes, but they were really nice folks and I'm happy for their 15 minutes. the cotton candy crew did a similiar gig on air about 4 or 5 years ago.

the other guy that did not get selected is a seriously skilled artist also, riding a unicycle on a treadmill, while playing guitar and harmonica - and singing at the same time. Very talented. try riding a unicycle on a treadmill. He actually does this professionally and has an album coming out later this year (doesn't everyone...) but he is highly skilled at his craft also. His act needed the treadmill set correctly with his guitar setup, and mine needed the speed bag set up. Staging may have been difficult for us while the others just walked on. It's no biggee. All in all it was one of those special times like being in the speed bag truck together. that never go on air either but wasn't it fun?

    Keep punching....

I was disappointed as well, but sounds like a fun experience for Alan anyway!

After I calmed down and took a moment, I did come to the realization that you did need a decent setup to properly demonstrate the fine art of punchdrumming. Well I guess I can write Letteman off for ten more years. We do need another go in the speedbag truck! Not to mention that rack of ribs we never got around to!

Alan could have fun at an undertaker's convention. He's just that cool and laid back!
