Can't believe the prices the 4200's are listed for. An old beat to heck one is $150 and this one while in pretty amazing shape is $300. An old 4200 Kangaroo just sold last month on eBay for $91, so to me this $300 is totally unrealistic since as mentioned the China versions were questionable in quality.

Sometimes I get the impression that these outlandish asking prices are due to this forum. Before it really started to take off you could pick up really nice high quality vintage bags for around twenty bucks or so. Now it's not unheard of that the same model bags are now being listed at three or four times that. Have we caused the jump in perceived value of vintage bags? Perhaps, but I also think that there are some people who really don't know what they have and are just looking to make a fast buck.

The greater % of vintage bag sellers I have tried to horse trade with have intentions that the bags are going to be used for ambiance purposes. Decorations as it were, for a man cave or a sports bar . Thus , they think they can and do ask for interior decorator prices....sheeeeshus
