$125 - Everlast pro grade platform - San Jose, California

This sounds worth looking into if you're in the area,

Professional grade speed bag punching platform. Mounts on wall with adjustment screw to raise level of platform. Purchased 20 years ago but never installed. In the box new! This is not your typical cheap platform. This is solid and heavy, for the serious person! Weighs at least 120 pounds. Comes complete with all mounting hardware, including bag swivel. If you ever punched a speed bag you know that a solid platform makes a world of difference. Last chance to get the real thing, brand-new in the box.

Let us know what you find out.

    Hello,
This has been listed four or five times over the last month, I sent emails after each listing and never heard back. I'm not in that area but if the description is accurate it's a NIB #4268 which had a 36" drum, weighed 160lbs and cost over $700 the last time Everlast had it in their catalog. I'd have happily paid the shipping if that's actually what's for sale!

The add mentions the pic is just an example, but isnt the "A" frame design, which a believe, but not certian, a fairly new design. Wondering why he show to show that model as oppose to another? If its really 20 years old, I dont think it would have that "A" design.? Just a thought.

What year is this model? Is this a Spalding or Everlast?

It's an Everlast, from at least the mid to late 1960's up through the 1980's.

that looks EXACTLY like the two speed bag platforms we had at Memphis State University in 1972-75. That wood was a bit soft and the swivels kept coming loose. after a while we were jamming match sticks up inside the holes to try and make them stay. Finally, under cover of darkness and a little "liquid refreshment" to the night shift building janitor, an electric drill whined, the holes were reamed through and bolts appeared. The swivels were secured.

At least I heard that's how it went down....

              FYI,
Seller has apparently been doing their homework on this and increased the price to $225, and now includes photos of the box as well as the installation instructions for the platform, kind of neat. It is model 4266. (The listing also includes the above pic from this forum). Might be a great deal for someone in that area.
