    Donations!?!

    Tim-
Would you like donations for maintainence for this forum? I would like to make a small donation but I don't see a Paypal link or anything of that nature. If you have a Paypal account that would be the easiest way. Or I can send a check. Let me know....

The thought is appreciated , but not necessary. The expenses don't amount to much.

Instead, I'd prefer that you pick up a copy of Alan's book or video(s) (if you haven't already) ... his willingness to share and spend an immense amount of time helping others is incredible. I believe you can get either from him direct, PM him for details.

I've already arranged to buy the whole package from Alan, but I figured if we were going to be doing business through the forum that it would be appropriate to offer you some compensation/commission.

I run a gaming clan and my own photo server so I know that expenses can add up, but it's very gracious of you to decline the offer. I appreciate the opportunity this forum provides, it has really helped me gain direction in my workouts.

      Thanks!!

I too have offered to donate but Tim won't accept money.

I really enjoy this forum and would hate to see it go away.

Tim, all I ask is that if you're ever considering shutting down the forums, please let us know so we can get another one started somewhere else!

        Thanks again for providing this!

As far as I'm concerned, Tim's work with this forum has put him in the "Speed Bag Circle of Honor" and "Speed Bag Hall of Fame". Maybe a receipent of the first "Golden Bag" award.

Providing this site for us to meet, communicate and help each other Is one Major step to getting a board and bag in thousands of more homes, and get thousands more punching and enjoying the speed bag. Perhaps one day we'll all get together at some type of "meet and greet" somewhere. Martial Arts Planet forum has huge member weekends in different cities. There are a few dedicated speed bag fans in Las Vegas (easy to get to from anywere) with Casino Connections. And many in Florida, and California. I imagine Ironglovesboxing in Tempe Arizona would love to have it out there. ( Great people and good personal friends of mine. )

But I think The greatest tribute you can give to this forum is POST and support it,. No one stays in a "dead" forum. We have a fair number of members but most are still "lurkers", reading but not positing. NO question is too stupid or too simple. I'm really happy there has been no disrespectful or flaming posts. And I'm confident that Tim won't tolerate that sort of thing. The next thing, is talk it up in other online forums. There are hundreds of boxing, fitness and martial arts forums online. Post links (don't spam them just for posting sake, but answering a legitimate question, put a link to this one). That generates lots of clicks here, and every so many will join and stay. And we can be proud that this is the only forum online that I have found that offers legitimate online video review and tutoring. Tim's video review Idea is awesome, and I love to see new folks post clips to see their progress. I don't know any other online site that does that - even with a fee attached. Through SpeedBagForums, we do it here for free. What other sport or skill activity can say they that??

Linking to this forum also gets this forums name more prevalent in Search Engines like Google, Dogpile, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves etc. Post links to the forum from your personal websites. Every mention helps.

I'm hoping one day we'll have online Chat capability. That would be fun.

This absolutely, positively will happen ... it's just a matter of where and when

As we build a community here we can start coming to a consensus
