Newbie Here

I recently purchased an Everlast speed bag and mounting hardware off of C-list and want to add this to my lackluster exercise regimen. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

On a different note, I need to search more in the archives for info on killing the sound of the bag. It's mounted to a wooden wall in the basement and the sound travels directly up to the floor above. My first time hitting the bag, the family thought I was demolishing the house! I have an open section of concrete wall I was thinking of moving it to, but I'd like some input from other members here to see what they did to quiet the noise.

...welcome to the forum zombie dad. i think you would be better off installing the platform on the concrete wall, i don't have any concrete walls at my house but if i did i would have installed my platform on it to help keep the noise down...ralph

Welcome!

+2 on mounting to the concrete if you want quite (although you'll still have the sound of the bag and swivel)
