How To Post pictures as attachments

Here's a quick overview of how to post pictures as attachments.

First off, you can't upload full fidelity digital camera images , they're too big. They would take up all our disk space in short order. Please convert your images to JPG or JPEG format and file size around 300KB or less. If you can't do this the system will try to resize your photos when you upload them, but it will likely fail if the image is big (like greater than 1MB in size, which many photos are!). Resizing to 640x480 and JPG format is usually the best option. The image quality will be very good and the size will be quite small. There are many, many ways to resize photos, so I can't cover that here.

Once you have done so, you must create a new post or thread, then scroll down until you see the "Manage Attachments" button. Click that button and a smaller window will pop up.

When you use the "Browse" button shown, find the file on your local hard drive (C: drive, etc.). After you pick the proper file you must then click the "Upload" button !!!

Your file will now appear under "Current Attachments". At this point you may either upload more files (repeat the above process) or click "Close this window" to return to your post/thread.
