metal ballhook adjustment

just thought i throw this out there. i just changed out my swivel and put one of my everlast ones on, but it has a JC metal ball & hook in it. you can change the arc on it to where ever u want just by cutting more threads on the eyebolt. i used a threadit 1/4-20 to cut more threads and get a much shorter arc. you can also do this with the everlast but you'll have to replace the setscrew with one that has a circle at the end not the point, with the circle setscrew you can set it anywhere on the eyebolt shaft...ralph

I always thought the Everlast had an Allen key set screw you could do that with or am I thinking of something entirely different?

The set screw shown here (#5) is flat at both ends.

...yes u are correct MD everlast has an allen key setscrew but on the end that contacts the eyebolt shaft it comes to a point and has to match up to the detent on the shaft, with the setscrew i'm talking about you don't have to match it up because on the end it is not a point but has a concave circle that has a sharp edge that cuts into the eyebolt shaft so you can set the eyebolt at what arc you want higher up or lower on the shaft...ralph
