The Ltx is definitely alot better than the atx. I chose it over a deville swivel only because my other setup has a deville. It's nice having to platforms with 2 quality swivels. I especially like the s hook it has. It's alot bigger and wider than the deville. I also like that it's chrome, it looks sharp on my balazs platform.

It does not, the pattern is a little smaller

I like the deville a better. Probably cause I got used to the sound. I used to like metal on metal but after the deville the metal clanking isn't to my liking anymore. With the Ltx I wrap the eyelet with a rubber band and it's then just like a deville but all chrome.

I just purchased the Deville and Swiveltek. Waiting for them to be delivered.

I'm currently using the "level 7" swivel sold by Balazs. While it's a nice swivel, and definitely better than the one I just got, installed and immediately removed from Cleto Reyes, I look forward to trying out the Deville and Swiveltek.

I'm thinking, aside from my lack of talent, one needs a ball swivel to do the tricks I see you guys doing.

I can only find the "level-2" swivel on their site. http://www.balazsboxing.com/cgi-bin/...%20bags|BS4450

            Here is there accessories page.

Is the "level 7" a non-disclosed top secret? (* not trying to be funny here, their Lazer bag was in develop, with revisions not for sale, for several years).

              Does the Swiveltek require lube?

I just got the new stainless swiveltek and the description on the speedbagshack.com says oil-free.

I just installed the Swiveltek LTX, and after one session it seems like a real nice swivel. As expected, there is a bit of noise. I know the description says it doesn't require lubrication, but would lubrication help quiet it? Or will it just lead to gunking up the ball and Delrin ring?

Maybe the noise is from the eye bolt hitting the housing, and there is no getting around that?

Also, fwiw, the holes lined up perfectly on my XMark XM-2811.

DON'T use oil...delrin is a self lubrication product, any kind of oil will gunk it up and breakdown the delrin. If anything, use a little furniture polish (Pledge, Lemon is my favorite!).

Thank you, Zaza, for the solid advice.

As for the noise, after a few more workouts, I'm starting to dig it. Maybe my initial reaction was it would bother people. Screw that; I wanna have fun!

This may be a dumb question, but my Swiveltek LTX came with a black disc fit into the housing for the ball. That was just for shipping, right? I noticed that if you leave it in place, the ball cannot pivot freely.

OK, let me try to one up you on the anti-noise hack. A simple rubber band around the eye bolt shaft. Simple, cheap, and if it breaks I got a bag full of them. On my first test, it completely eliminates the bolt noise and leaves the sweet swivel and leather sounds. I am not seeing any drop in performance or rebound yet, but too early to tell for sure.
