    Quietest Swivel?

The one chain link I have is much louder than any other swivel I have. I'm not sure who made it as it has no markings whatsoever but it's got me wondering what the quietest swivel out there might be. Anybody have any thoughts on this, swivels you've owned or still own?

So far for me, it is the everlast plastic ball and hook. Its what I have inside the house, with a granite drum and my quietest bag (contender). I could not get any other swivel to be anywhere close to as quiet as this is.

That is also my experience. The plastic housing is quiet. The Deville Swivel also is quiet, but they are getting as hard to find as the other.

I've looked for the EV plastic ball & hook but yeah, "currently unavailable" is what I find. I did come across a look alike, but after shipping and applicable taxes my total ends up at just over $40. that's fine but I'm not really sure what I'm looking at on this site. ..sure lOOks like the Everlast

might have to take a risk and order it

That certainly looks a lot like my everlast.

This is a rope/ball swivel...all you hear is the bag! No idea who made it, it's an old one from eBay...

How is the performance of the rope/ball swivel? Can you give any pro's or con's?

I like a paracord / eyebolt swivel. The eyebolt is bolted to a small dry ball bearing. Super quiet. All stainless.

Had some fun with this for about 27 seconds when it became a ridiculous game of chase the outta control bag. But of course, this was nothing but the sound of the bag and the pine. Sorry about the neck twisting.. sideways

You can still purchase the Everlast plastic ball hook swivel. But you must call them and ask for it, it is not listed on the website. Here is the response from them to an email I sent.

"The swivel is $5.00 (Part#4440U) plus shipping $6.95. You will need to purchase the parts by phone at 1-800-821-7930 ask for the parts department. The order will need to be paid with a debit/credit card."

I'm going to try toying around with a bicycle inner tube, over the metal ball and hook swivel, that I have. Its my favorite, but also, the noisiest.

Actually...really good! All you hear is the bag on the board, there aren't any con's I can think of. The ball keeps the rope from tangling up. It is a very nice design. Ms. Dee was playing with making some like this...I never received one.

I rather enjoyed the hell outta it. Going to build another wall-mount platform based on that setup. I'm predicting alot of course language while I try and get used to it.
